One registration starts several useful actions.
Help new users reach a useful first experience.
Where this work fits
Messages only help when they reach the right person at a useful time. A push can be missed, so customers also needed relevant email and a place to return to notifications.
MY CONTRIBUTION
I built account-registration behavior and the follow-up work around it, including session and communication features. Events helped keep those responsibilities understandable while connecting them to one onboarding experience.
THE IDEA, ILLUSTRATED
Schedule a tailored message across channels
TAILORED. SCHEDULED. DELIVERED.

YOUR INBOX
Customer activity shapes the message and timing. Email and push deliver it, while the inbox keeps it available to revisit.
THE ENGINEERING DECISION
Match the message and timing to the customer.
Timing and audience mattered as much as the channel. I aligned sends with customer activity, filtered invalid device recipients, and kept a saved inbox so a missed push did not lose the message.
The skills behind the work
- Authentication
- Establish who is making a request before applying account or access rules.
- Redis
- Support temporary data, sessions, and bounded account flows with expiration.
- Event design
- Represent an action accurately so another part of the product can respond or measure it.
