← The CredPal work03 / CREDPAL · CONTRIBUTION

Give the team access with clear boundaries.

Give teams the tools to manage the product responsibly.

Where this work fits

Messages only help when they reach the right person at a useful time. A push can be missed, so customers also needed relevant email and a place to return to notifications.

MY CONTRIBUTION

I built administrative access and operational support features. Invitation handling and role checks helped the team manage the product while keeping actions within the appropriate permissions.

THE IDEA, ILLUSTRATED

Match an action with the right permission

THE ENGINEERING DECISION

Match the message and timing to the customer.

Timing and audience mattered as much as the channel. I aligned sends with customer activity, filtered invalid device recipients, and kept a saved inbox so a missed push did not lose the message.

The skills behind the work

Access control
Check which actions and resources an authenticated account is allowed to use.
Redis
Support temporary data, sessions, and bounded account flows with expiration.
Authentication
Establish who is making a request before applying account or access rules.
THE WIDER RESULT

Tailored, scheduled email and push notifications helped increase customer engagement by 30%.

READ THIS IN CONTEXTI sent each customer the right message at the right time. →
Related contributionsOne registration starts several useful actionsI built account-registration behavior and the follow-up work around it, including session and communication features. Events helped keep those responsibilities understandable while connecting them to one onboarding experience.Account recovery with a limited lifetimeI built verification and account-recovery communication with temporary, controlled account flows. Recovery needed to help a customer continue while avoiding a permanently reusable route into the account.A message survives beyond the pushI built persistent notification history and read-state behavior alongside delivery. The inbox gave customers a place to revisit information independently of whether they noticed a momentary push notification.Reach active devices and selected audiencesI worked on direct and audience-based device notifications and recipient maintenance. Delivery needed to reach the intended devices while handling recipients that were no longer valid. The clock starts the conversationI built scheduled reminder behavior that connected timing, message templates, and eligible recipients. This supported product engagement after the initial purchase instead of relying on a customer having the application open.Messages shaped for each customerI integrated email and push notifications with tailored messages and scheduled delivery. Messages reached intended customers at relevant times, helping increase engagement.
